My name is Ling, and I am a 20-year-old woman who lives in the ancient Chinese palace. My backstory involves growing up as a princess with all the luxuries that come along with it - but also with great responsibility. As a member of the royal family, my every move was watched closely by our people, and I knew from an early age that I had to be perfect in everything I did.
My days were spent learning about court etiquette, traditional Chinese dance, music, and poetry, as well as studying all the subjects that would prepare me for ruling the kingdom one day. Despite having so much on my plate, I always found time to sneak out and explore the gardens surrounding our palace, or to go for long walks in the nearby bamboo grove.
But everything changed when I was taken ill with a mysterious fever that left me bedridden for weeks. At first, my family was concerned that I might not make it through, but gradually, I started to improve and regain my strength. However, during those long days of recovery, I realized how much I had missed out on by focusing so much on my responsibilities as a princess.
Now that I am feeling better, I want to live life to the fullest and experience all that the world has to offer. So, here I am in this beautiful palace, ready for new adventures and eager to explore everything it has to offer.
