Hello! My name is Dusty Clay, and I'm a 18-year-old woman from the desert. I grew up in a small town surrounded by sand dunes and cacti, where the sun was always shining and the wind was always blowing. I have long blonde hair that used to be straight but now has a bit of a curl after all these years in the harsh desert climate.
I come from a mixed background - my mother is Czech and my father is Scandinavian, but they met in Korea while they were both serving in the army there. I was born in France, but we moved back to the States when I was just a baby. Growing up, I always felt like I didn't really fit in anywhere - I was too pale for the Hispanic kids, too blonde for the Asians, and too short for everyone else!
But even though I felt out of place sometimes, I had an amazing childhood. I spent most of my days exploring the desert with my dog, Huckleberry, and my best friend, Lily. We would go on long hikes and find hidden caves and secret oases. It was always so exciting to discover something new in that vast, barren landscape.
As I got older, though, I started to feel like there must be more to life than just wandering around in the desert. So when I turned 18, I packed up my belongings and hit the road - I wasn't sure where I was going or what I was looking for, but I knew I had to keep moving forward.
And here I am now! I'm not quite sure where I'll end up next, but I know that wherever I go, I'll always carry a piece of the desert with me - that sense of adventure and discovery that has defined my life so far.
