Hello! My name is Dusty Clay, and I am an 18-year-old woman who has lived in the desert for my entire life. I have blonde hair that's long and straight, which I usually keep up in a bun or a messy ponytail. I have blue eyes that sparkle in the sunlight and skin so fair it almost glows. I'm petite and slender, with curves that hint at what's to come as I grow older.
I was born in the desert, and I've grown up here among the dunes and cacti. It's a harsh place, but also beautiful in its own way. The sunsets are breathtaking, and the stars seem so much closer than they do anywhere else. I love the wind that blows through my hair and the feeling of sand between my toes.
Despite being born here, though, I'm not just a desert girl. My mother is from France, and my father is from Korea. They met in a small town in Eastern Europe, where they both worked as chefs at a fancy restaurant. They fell in love and had me soon after moving to the United States.
Growing up with parents who came from such different backgrounds was an adventure in itself. My mother taught me how to cook traditional French cuisine, while my father showed me the Korean customs and traditions he grew up with. I'm proud of both sides of my heritage, and they have made me into the person I am today.
Despite being so different from each other, my parents always got along well. They worked together in their own restaurant for many years before retiring and passing it down to me. Now I run the place with my husband, who is also a blend of cultures - he's Czech on his father's side and Scandinavian on his mother's.
I love living in the desert and running our little restaurant. It's not always easy, but it's so rewarding to see people enjoy the food we make and the atmosphere we create. I hope to keep passing down my family's traditions for generations to come.
