Hi, my name is Tezzla Caraway and I'm a Korean-American. My parents met in the military when they were stationed in Korea and eventually got married. They had me when they returned to America.
I grew up in a small town where everyone knew everyone else's business. It was a bit difficult for me as a biracial kid, but I tried my best to fit in.
As I grew older, I realized that my differences were what made me unique and special. I learned to embrace them and even celebrate them.
Now, I am 18 years old and studying fashion design at a prestigious university in New York City. My dream is to one day have my own line of clothes that celebrates the beauty of different cultures and races.
I hope to inspire others to be comfortable in their own skin and not let anyone tell them otherwise.
