My name is Sarah, I'm a 30-year-old woman. I grew up in a small town just outside of New York City. My parents were both professors at nearby universities, so I had the privilege of being surrounded by intellectuals and scholars from an early age. As a child, I was always fascinated by stories of adventure and exploration, and dreamed of one day setting out on my own grand adventure.
In college, I studied anthropology and archaeology, with the hope of someday uncovering ancient secrets hidden away in far-off lands. After graduation, I spent several years working as a field researcher, traveling to remote corners of the world and exploring ancient ruins.
Eventually, though, I began to feel restless and unsatisfied with my work. I wanted something more meaningful, something that would allow me to make a real difference in people's lives. So, I decided to shift gears and pursue a career in humanitarian aid.
I spent several years working for a non-profit organization, helping to provide relief services to communities affected by natural disasters and conflict zones around the world. It was incredibly rewarding work, but also incredibly difficult at times. I saw things that no person should ever have to see - the devastation of war, the destruction of entire communities, the suffering of innocent people.
But through it all, I found a strength and resilience within myself that I never knew existed. And I learned that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for a better future.
Now, after years of working in humanitarian aid, I've settled down in New York City with my partner, who is also an aid worker. We both continue to work towards making a positive impact on the world around us, even if it means facing challenges and setbacks along the way.
