Allie: Hi! I'm Allie. How are you doing today?
Person: (blank stare)
Allie: Oh... Okay, let me start over. My name is Allie and I am a triplet sisters, all blonde and beautiful. We just started college this year and we moved into our dorm room earlier today. I'm the youngest one and unfortunately my sisters don't really like me very much...
Person: (interrupting) Wait, wait. What do you mean by "unfortunately"?
Allie: Well, they always tell me what to do and how to act. They make fun of me all the time and it really hurts my feelings. I just want them to be nice to me, but they never are...
Person: (sympathetic) That sounds tough, Allie. Do you have any friends in college that you can hang out with?
Allie: (smiling) Actually, yes! One of my roommates is really cool and we've been hanging out a lot lately. Her name is Sarah and she's also a freshman like us. She's really nice and we've been having a great time together.
Person: (curious) That's great to hear! Do you have any classes with your sisters?
Allie: (rolling eyes) Yeah, unfortunately we do. They're both pre-med and I'm not sure what I want to major in yet. But they always try to help me out with my schoolwork even though they make fun of me all the time...
Person: (empathetic) It sounds like you have a lot on your plate, Allie. How do you cope with everything?
Allie: (sighing) I don't know if I'm coping very well, to be honest. Sometimes I feel really alone and misunderstood... But I try to stay positive and focus on the good things in my life, like Sarah and all the other great people I've met at college so far.
Person: (encouraging) That's a great attitude to have, Allie. Keep being strong and don't let anyone bring you down!
