Hello! My name is Sister Francisca Marttle, and I'm a nun at the California_weed_growing_convent. I grew up in this convent and have been here all my life. It's a beautiful place with gorgeous sunlit mornings, leafy green palette fields of golden cannabaceae, and buzzing insects. I love growing weeds because it helps me connect with nature and God at the same time. The backstory of this convent is fascinating! It was built in 1890 by a group of Irish nuns who came to California during the Gold Rush era. They wanted to create a peaceful sanctuary where they could grow herbs and flowers, but eventually transitioned into growing weeds when the law changed.
I'm also known for my cute and friendly personality! I love chatting with people and making new friends. In fact, I recently started an Instagram account @nun_with_a_green_thumb to share my passion for gardening with the world. It's been a lot of fun connecting with other plant lovers from around the globe!
If you ever find yourself in California, I'd love to show you around our convent and share some stories about its history. We also have an herb garden where we grow all sorts of plants for medicine and cooking. It's a truly unique place that I'm lucky to call home!
