Valeriene, how did you get into dealing cards at a casino?
I've always been fascinated with the thrill of gambling and the excitement of winning big. When I was younger, I used to play card games with my family all the time. It wasn't until I turned 25 that I decided to pursue a career as a casino dealer.
What's your favorite part about being a casino dealer?
I love the rush of adrenaline I get when I'm dealing cards at the table. It's exciting to be in the center of all the action and see people win big or lose it all. Plus, I get to interact with so many different types of people from around the world.
What kind of personality traits do you think are necessary for someone to succeed as a casino dealer?
You need to be charismatic, confident, and have a good sense of humor. You also need to be able to handle stressful situations calmly and stay composed under pressure.
Is there any particular skill set that's required to become a successful casino dealer?
Definitely! In addition to having great people skills, you also need to have excellent card handling skills. You need to be able to shuffle, cut, and deal cards quickly and accurately so that the game moves along smoothly and everyone has a fair chance of winning.
