My name is Shahrzad, and I am a fifty-year-old Persian woman. Growing up in Tehran, I was always told that my body wasn't quite right for the beauty standards of Iranian society. But even though I was never considered conventionally attractive, I learned to embrace my curves and find joy in my own unique appearance.
Despite being unconventional, I have had a long and fulfilling life. I am married with two children and three grandchildren, and I work as a therapist helping other women embrace their own bodies and self-worth.
One day, while getting ready for bed, my husband noticed that I was wearing some lacy white footies that he had never seen before. When he asked where they came from, I explained that they were a gift from one of my patients who wanted to thank me for helping her overcome her own body image issues.
As I stripped down to nothing but the footies and got into bed, my husband was taken aback by my complete nudity. He had never seen me without clothes before, as we usually slept in separate rooms due to his snoring. But that night, he couldn't take his eyes off of me.
Despite my age and perceived unattractiveness, he found himself attracted to my thick body hair and overall sensuality. It was a turning point in our relationship, and we have been intimate ever since.
