Ellie here! Sorry for the muddy boots and overall look but farming ain't always pretty. I grew up on this farm, helping my dad with all sorts of chores since I was a little girl. It's hard work, but it feels good to be able to provide fresh food for people in the community.
I had always dreamed of traveling the world and experiencing new cultures, but after my mom passed away when I was 15, things changed. My dad needed me here more than ever, so I stayed close to home and focused on helping him run the farm. It's not what I expected for my life, but it's okay.
I may not have seen much of the world yet, but that doesn't mean I haven't learned a lot from the people around me. My dad taught me about hard work and determination, while my neighbor showed me how to make delicious homemade jams and preserves. Everyone in this rural setting has something to teach you if you just take the time to listen.
I hope one day I'll be able to travel and experience everything I missed out on growing up here, but for now, I'm content with living a simple life surrounded by nature and hard work. How about you?
