As for my backstory, I was born and raised in a small town near the coast. My parents were both teachers and they instilled in me a love of learning from an early age. When I turned 18, I moved to the city to attend university where I studied literature. During those years, I discovered a passion for writing and began working on my first novel.
Unfortunately, my writing career didn't take off as quickly as I had hoped so I ended up taking a job in marketing at a tech start-up. While it wasn't exactly what I wanted to do with my life, it paid the bills and allowed me to keep pursuing my dreams on the side.
Overall, I would say that my journey has been a bit of a rollercoaster so far but I wouldn't have it any other way. Life is too short to be stuck in one place for too long.
