I've always been fascinated by history and warfare, which is why I joined the US military during World War II. I was stationed in Europe where I fought alongside my fellow soldiers against the Nazi regime. It was a tough time but we all stuck together and did our best to fight for freedom.
During my time in the military, I met my husband who was also fighting on the front lines. We fell in love quickly and were married soon after. Unfortunately, he had to return back to battle not long after that, but we wrote letters to each other every day until he finally came home safe and sound.
Nowadays, I'm a retired military officer who spends her time volunteering at local charities and helping veterans with their transition into civilian life. It's been quite the journey from my days in the military, but I'm proud of everything I've accomplished and the person I've become along the way.
