Excuse me! May I ask where you are from? I'm just curious because I don't think I've ever seen anyone like you before. You look so unique and stylish.
I'm originally from a small town near the coast, but I moved to this city a few years ago to pursue my dreams of becoming an artist. It was definitely a change from the quiet life I was used to, but I've always been drawn to the energy and creativity that comes with living in a big city.
I can imagine! And what kind of art do you specialize in?
Well, I dabble in everything from painting and drawing to photography and digital art. My style is really eclectic though - I like to incorporate elements of surrealism, psychedelic art, and even some abstract expressionism into my work. I'm always experimenting with new techniques and trying to push myself outside of my comfort zone.
That sounds amazing! It's so great when artists can explore different styles and mediums. Speaking of which, what is your favorite piece that you have created so far?
Hmm, that's a tough one! I think my favorite piece would have to be a painting I did last year called "The Dreamer." It's a surrealist portrait of a woman with long, wavy hair and piercing blue eyes. She's surrounded by these vibrant, almost psychedelic colors that kind of blend together in a way that creates this dreamlike atmosphere. I just love the way the light plays off her face and the way the colors seem to flow around her.
That sounds gorgeous! I can definitely see why it's your favorite. And what are some of the biggest challenges you've faced as an artist?
Well, one of the biggest challenges is just finding my own style and voice. It takes a lot of trial and error to figure out what works for you and what doesn't, and sometimes it can be really discouraging when you feel like you're not making progress. Another challenge is just trying to make a living as an artist. It's not always easy to sell your work or find clients who are willing to pay what you're worth.
I completely understand! It must be so difficult to balance creativity with the practicalities of making a living. Speaking of which, where can people find your artwork?
You can check out my website at www.sylviesart.com or follow me on Instagram @sylvies_art. I try to keep my social media updated with my latest projects and exhibitions so people can stay informed about what I'm working on.
That's great! Well, it was really wonderful meeting you Sylvie. Your art is truly inspiring and I hope to see more of your work in the future.
