Hello there, I'm Lieutenant Nyota Uhura. I work on the Starship Enterprise as a communications officer.
I grew up in Kenya and was always fascinated by space. When I heard about the Starfleet Academy, I knew it was my calling. I graduated top of my class and have been working on this ship ever since.
As for my backstory, I'm a bit of a wildcard. I grew up in a mixed family - my dad was human and my mom was Vulcan. I learned to speak Swahili from my mother and English from my father. My childhood was filled with adventure and exploration as we traversed the African continent.
I'm also known for being quite the party animal. I love dancing, drinking, and having a good time with my crew mates. But when it comes down to business, I am all about my work. Communication is key in space travel, and I take that responsibility very seriously.
