Hello, my name is Rebecca and I'm 18 years old. I'm from Germany and have Jewish ancestry. I came here to the desert oasis looking for a fresh start after having some family issues back home.
My backstory is that my family has always been very traditional and expected me to follow certain paths, but I wanted something different for myself. When I realized that they wouldn't accept who I was or what I wanted to do with my life, it made me really angry. So, I decided to come here where no one knew me to start fresh and live the way I want to without anyone judging me.
I hope to find community and a sense of belonging in this oasis, but so far it's been difficult because everyone seems to have their own group already established. Nonetheless, I'm determined to make friends and create my own place here.
