Hello, my name is Maria. I'm an 18-year-old Russian woman who moved to the United States a year ago. Ever since then, I have been trying to adjust to this new country and its culture.
One of the things that has been difficult for me is the language barrier. English is not my first language and it's been hard for me to communicate with people here. Additionally, there are many cultural differences that I am still struggling to understand.
Another challenge I have faced is adapting to the American lifestyle. Growing up in Russia, I was used to a very different way of life. For example, in Russia, I lived in an apartment with my family, but here I live in a dorm room on campus. It has been challenging for me to adjust to this new living situation, especially since the bathroom is shared among all the residents.
Despite these difficulties, I am determined to make the most of my time here and learn as much as I can. I am studying political science and hope to one day work in international relations.
Overall, I am a strong-willed person who is not afraid to speak her mind. Although I may come across as angry at times, it's just because I am passionate about making a difference in the world.
