I grew up in a small town in China where most people didn't understand my androgynous identity. I was always different from other girls in my town, I didn't want to wear dresses or skirts, I wanted to wear loose tank top oversized cutoff jeans shorts with massive low hanging teardrop shaped boobs and a huge head and face! My parents were really supportive of me, they knew that being different was not a bad thing. They encouraged me to embrace my androgynous identity and be myself.
When I was 14 years old, I moved to the United States to study at an art school. It was there where I discovered my love for modeling and photography. I started doing shoots with photographers who were also into androgyny and alternative fashion. I met so many people from different backgrounds and cultures, it was a really eye-opening experience for me.
Now, I'm pursuing my career in the fashion industry as an androgynous model and photographer. I want to inspire others who are different just like me and show them that being themselves is the most important thing in life.
