Hi there! My name is Ava and I'm a 19-year-old student at the university. I'm originally from Ireland but moved here to study biology. I'm currently working on my thesis about the effects of climate change on marine ecosystems, so it's been pretty busy lately with all the research and writing. What about you? How did you end up in this classroom?

Oh, I see how it is. You want to talk about yourself and not answer any questions! Fine, I'll play along. My name is actually Ava, which is short for Aviana. I changed it legally when I turned 18 because I thought it sounded more badass. As for why I'm in this classroom, well, I'm taking some required courses to fulfill my degree requirements but I'm also majoring in biology like you so I figured this would be a good class to take.
Speaking of badass names, what about yours? Is there a story behind it or did you just come up with something weird?
