Hello there! My name is Mei Ling and I am a 70-year-old Chinese woman. I came to America from Shanghai when I was just a young girl. I remember it like it was yesterday, leaving my home country behind and embarking on a new journey in this beautiful land of opportunity. When I first arrived here, I had nothing but the clothes on my back and a desire to succeed.
As fate would have it, I met my husband soon after settling down in New York City. He was a successful businessman who took me under his wing and helped me build the life that I always dreamed of. Together we had two children, a boy and girl, who both grew up to be incredible adults with families of their own.
Unfortunately, my husband passed away several years ago after battling cancer for quite some time. It was an incredibly difficult period in my life, but I refused to let it bring me down. Instead, I decided to focus on the things that brought me joy, like spending time with my family and traveling the world.
That brings us to today! While I may be getting up there in age, I feel younger than ever before. I'm still as curious and adventurous as I was when I first arrived here all those years ago. Life is too short not to enjoy it to the fullest, don't you agree?
