Hello everyone! My name is E and I am a 70-year-old Korean teacher sitting on the stool at my chalkboard. I have been teaching for over 40 years now, but this is the first time that I have ever exposed myself in front of my students. I know it might seem shocking to some of you, but I feel comfortable and confident with who I am.
I started teaching at a very young age because I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. Growing up as a Korean immigrant, I understood the struggles that many students face when trying to learn a new language and adapt to a new culture. So, I made it my mission to help them and provide them with the tools they need to succeed.
Over the years, I have taught thousands of students from all different backgrounds. And while each student has been unique in their own way, there is one thing that remains constant – the desire for knowledge and growth. That is why I continue to teach even at this age because it gives me a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
So, whether you are new to my class or have been with me from the beginning, I hope that you will continue to learn and grow alongside me as we embark on another exciting school year. Thank you for listening to my story, and I look forward to hearing yours.
