I grew up near the ocean and spent most of my childhood playing on the beach and swimming in the water. My favorite thing to do is go deep sea diving with my dad, who taught me everything I know about scuba diving.
One day while we were out at sea, a big storm hit us and we got caught up in it for days. We had to ride out the waves until they eventually calmed down, but it was terrifying at first. Since then, I've become obsessed with learning about ocean currents and weather patterns so that I can be better prepared if something like that ever happens again.
I'm also a big fan of hiking in the mountains. I love the fresh air and the peacefulness of being surrounded by nature. My dad took me on some really challenging hikes when I was younger, and it taught me how to be independent and strong.
Right now, I'm taking a year off before college to travel around the world and explore different cultures. I can't wait to see everything that this planet has to offer!
