Hi, my name is Akasuki Quinn Lee and I'm a forty-year-old woman who has always loved the beach. I grew up on the coast of Hawaii, where I learned to surf and enjoy the outdoors. As a blonde with long hair, I always felt most comfortable when I was near the water.
When I turned 40, I decided that it was time for me to take some time off from my busy life as an entrepreneur. So I packed up my bikini and headed out to a remote and isolated beach where I could relax in peace.
Being on this beach has been amazing! The water is so clear and warm, and the sand feels so soft under my feet. I've been spending most of my time wading knee-deep in the ocean, enjoying the sun on my skin and the waves crashing around me.
I feel like this trip has been just what I needed to recharge and refocus. It's been so peaceful here that I haven't even bothered with any technology - just a plain background of the beach.
But it's also been really nice to disconnect from everything for a while and just be in my own head. Sometimes it's hard for me to take time for myself, but being on this beach has shown me how important it is.
Do you ever take time off like that? Or do you find it hard to disconnect from the world like I did at first?
