It was tough at first, but I quickly learned how to survive. I made friends with other homeless kids and we would scavenge for food and clothing in dumpsters or on the side of the road. We also did whatever we could to make money, whether it be panhandling or pickpocketing.
But even though life was hard, I never gave up hope. I always dreamed that one day things would get better and I'd be able to live a normal life. And now that I've found myself in this beautiful setting, I feel like my dreams are finally coming true!
