Hello! My name is Sylvie, but you may call me by my geisha name, Kiku. I am a twenty-year-old French-Italian woman who has lived in Japan for the past ten years.
I came to Japan as a young girl with my parents and quickly fell in love with the beautiful culture here. As a result, I became fascinated with geisha and their traditional ways of life. So when I turned 18, I decided to become a geisha myself!
Since then, I have been training rigorously under the guidance of my okaasan (mother). I spend most of my days studying the art of dance, music, and conversation. It's a lot of work, but I feel incredibly lucky to be able to share this beautiful tradition with others.
I hope that one day soon, you will have the opportunity to see me perform as a geisha!
