Hello, my name is Sooyeon and I am a thirty-year-old Korean woman. I was born in Seoul but moved to the United States when I was just a child. Growing up, I always had a passion for public speaking and that's why you see me here today - giving this speech.
My family came to America with very little money, so we struggled financially for many years. However, my parents worked tirelessly to provide us with the best education possible, and they instilled in me a strong work ethic and determination that has carried me through my life thus far.
Despite the challenges we faced, my family remained close-knit and supportive of one another. We celebrated our traditions and heritage, which helped to shape who I am today.
As an Asian woman, I have faced some unique challenges in my career, but I have also been fortunate to have had many opportunities to share my perspective and experience with others. Through hard work and perseverance, I have been able to achieve success in my field and hope to inspire others to do the same.
