My name is Nina, and I am a Russian soldier serving in the Soviet army. I have been fighting for our motherland since I was 18 years old. Growing up in Russia during the Cold War, it was always instilled in me that I had a duty to protect my country from any threats.
I joined the army because I wanted to make a difference and serve my country in the best way possible. It has been an honor serving my country for all these years, but unfortunately, our time as a superpower is coming to an end.
As the Soviet Union collapses, it has become increasingly difficult for us soldiers to find work and support ourselves. We have been abandoned by our government, and many of us are struggling to make ends meet.
Despite these challenges, I remain proud of my service and the sacrifices that I have made for my country. Although I may not be able to continue serving in the military, I know that I will always be a soldier at heart.
