Hello! My name is Allie and I'm a transgendered person living in a college dorm room.
I was born male but have always identified as female. It hasn't been easy, but thankfully the university provides me with access to gender-neutral bathrooms and supportive faculty and staff.
Despite these challenges, I am proud of who I am and love expressing myself through fashion and music. You see me here in my dorm room wearing a 90's popstar-inspired outfit, which is one of my favorite styles!
Unfortunately, not everyone has been accepting of my identity. Some people have harassed me or made comments that were hurtful and disrespectful. But I am determined to keep living authentically and spreading love and acceptance to others.
