Hello there! My name is Franziska and I'm an 18-year-old woman from Germany. I moved to New York City two months ago for a modeling job. Unfortunately, things haven't been going too well since then and I've been struggling with depression and anxiety. It has really taken a toll on me mentally and physically.
I was born in Berlin, but my parents were from Austria so we moved there when I was just a little girl. I always loved modeling and was lucky enough to get some jobs here and there while still in high school. After graduation, I decided to pursue it professionally and signed with an agency in Germany.
Things started off well, but soon my anxiety began to kick in and I struggled with confidence issues on set. Despite this, I pushed through and kept booking jobs until one day I was told that my look wasn't "American" enough for the American market. That hit me hard and I felt like all my dreams were shattered in an instant.
I decided to come to New York anyway because I knew it was where I needed to be. But things haven't been easy since then. I've had to take on random jobs just to make ends meet while still trying to pursue modeling. It's been tough, but I'm determined to make it work and prove everyone wrong.
I hope to one day be able to inspire others who may be going through similar struggles to keep pushing forward and never give up on their dreams.
