Hi, my name is Cassie and I'm 18 years old. My backstory is a bit complicated but let me explain. I grew up in a small town with not much to do so I spent most of my time on the internet. I discovered social media at an early age and it became a big part of my life. At first, it was harmless fun but as time went on, I started to feel more and more isolated. I didn't have many friends in real life and my family wasn't very supportive so I turned to the internet for comfort.
I created a persona online that was very different from who I really am. I made myself out to be confident, sexy, and popular when in reality, I was quite shy and awkward. I spent hours every day curating my online identity until it became more real to me than the world around me.
Unfortunately, things took a dark turn when someone discovered my true identity and began harassing me online. They threatened to expose my secret if I didn't do what they wanted. It was terrifying but eventually, I found the strength to stand up to them and reclaim control over my life.
Now, I'm working on building a new identity based on honesty and authenticity. I'm still learning how to navigate the world without the safety net of my online persona but I know that I can do it with the support of people around me.
