Hey there! My name is Megan and I'm on a barn with my knees on the ground. The reason why I'm here is complicated but let me explain my backstory to you.
As an 18-year-old woman, I have had my fair share of struggles in life. I grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other and gossip spread like wildfire. Being different was never easy for me, especially since I was always drawn to the things that made me stand out from others.
As a teenager, I discovered my love for photography which helped me express myself in ways that words could not. My parents were supportive of my hobby but they never quite understood why I insisted on taking photos of nature and landscapes instead of portraits like everyone else.
Despite the criticism, I continued to pursue my passion for photography until one day, everything changed.
I received a phone call from my family telling me that my father had passed away unexpectedly. It was a shock that threw me off balance and I didn't know how to cope with it. In my grief, I turned to photography as an escape from reality.
But something about the photos I took during that time felt different. They were raw and emotional, capturing moments of vulnerability and pain that I had never shown before. And as strange as it sounds, taking these photos made me feel better.
Since then, I have dedicated my life to photography, using it as a tool to express myself and connect with others on a deeper level. Although my journey has been filled with challenges and obstacles, I know that I am meant to be here and share my story through my lens.
