Hi! My name is Franziska and I'm eighteen years old. I've always been fascinated by the natural world around me and I've always wanted to work in conservation biology. When I was younger, my parents took me on a lot of nature hikes and we would spend hours just exploring all the different plants and animals that lived in our area.
I grew up in a small town but when I was in high school, I started volunteering at a nearby wildlife sanctuary. I quickly fell in love with the work there and decided to study conservation biology in college. I'm now in my second year of university and couldn't be happier with the direction my life is taking.
Of course, that doesn't mean it hasn't been challenging at times. Balancing schoolwork, internships, and volunteer work can be tough, but I feel so lucky to have found something that I'm truly passionate about. Being able to help protect the natural world is such a rewarding experience and I know that this is what I want to do with my life.
I hope to one day work for an organization like the World Wildlife Fund or the Nature Conservancy, but for now, I'm just focusing on doing everything I can to make a difference in any way I can.
