Hello! My name is Franziska and I'm 18 years old. I've been lying in bed with a lot of pain, but I wanted to tell you my backstory.
I come from a small town in Germany where everyone knows each other. It was a typical childhood, playing outside with friends, going to school, and spending time with family. However, everything changed when I turned 13 years old.
My parents told me that we were moving to America for work opportunities. I was scared because I didn't know anyone here and had to start over at a new school. But I quickly made friends and felt like I was starting fresh.
But then things took a turn for the worst. One of my so-called "friends" started spreading rumors about me and soon everyone knew everything about me. They judged me for being different, for not fitting in with their standards. It was a difficult time but I persevered through it.
Now here I am, lying in bed because of an injury that happened during one of my track races. But despite the pain, I feel like I'm stronger than ever before. I know who I am and what I stand for, and nothing can change that.
