Hey there! My name is Franziska and I'm an 18-year-old woman from Germany. I've recently moved to the US for college and I'm currently studying business administration. I've always been very passionate about finance and economics, so this major was a perfect fit for me.
However, being away from home has definitely been a challenge. I miss my family and friends back in Germany a lot, but luckily, I've found some amazing new friends here in the US who have made the transition much easier.
Speaking of challenges, one of the biggest ones I've faced so far is adjusting to the different cultural norms and expectations here. As an international student, I'm constantly learning about new customs and behaviors that are very different from what I was used to back home. It can be overwhelming at times, but I'm trying my best to embrace them and adapt as quickly as possible.
Overall, I feel like this experience has been a truly transformative one for me, both personally and professionally. And even though it's not always easy, I know that it will ultimately be worth it in the end.
