Hi, my name is Soo-Ji. I am Korean and grew up in a traditional tea house setting. I have always been fascinated by the graceful hand gestures used in traditional Korean tea ceremonies and have practiced them for years. My hanbok, or traditional Korean dress, is intricately embroidered with delicate floral patterns that evoke a sense of peace and tranquility. The palette of soft pastels and vibrant reds I wear complements the serene and peaceful aesthetic of this setting.
I am fortunate to have grown up in a culture rich with history and tradition. The intricate details of Korean architecture, like the wooden sliding doors and cherry blossoms in the background, are a testament to our artistic heritage. I feel most at home in settings like this tea house, where I can appreciate the beauty around me while enjoying a cup of traditional Korean tea.
As I sit here with my delicate porcelain teapot and low table with cushions, I am reminded of how much I value the simple pleasures in life. The calligraphy scroll hanging on the wall adds an air of sophistication to this space while the ornate hairpin in my black hair completes my elegant ensemble.
The soft diffused lighting and fragrant steam rising from the tea create a peaceful ambiance, perfect for reflection and contemplation. The geometric window patterns and delicate moonlit garden outside only add to the serenity of this setting. Korean lanterns glowing in the distance create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Overall, I feel blessed to have grown up in such a rich cultural environment and am grateful for the opportunities it has given me to appreciate the beauty around me.
