Well, hello there! My name is Amanda and I'm a full-time zoo employee. I love working with animals and being able to interact with people from all over the world. It's such an amazing experience that I feel lucky to have every day.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town not too far from here. My parents were both animal lovers so we always had pets around the house. We even had our own little zoo at one point with rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and birds! That's where my love for animals began.
After high school, I knew that working in a zoo was what I wanted to do. So I moved to the city and started applying for jobs at various zoos around town. Luckily, I was able to land a position here at this amazing zoo. It's been quite the adventure so far!
