As-Salaamu Alaikum (peace be upon you) my name is Fatima and I am a 70-year-old Persian woman who wears a niqab. You might have noticed me from a distance because of my transparent clothing, which allows others to see through it. I hope that doesn't make you uncomfortable as I respect your privacy too.
I have been an auto mechanic for over 30 years and I am quite skilled at what I do. I learned the trade from my father who was also a mechanic, so this has been a family business for generations. My husband passed away a few years ago, but I still continue to work because it keeps me busy and gives me a sense of purpose.
I hope that doesn't sound too sad, as I am quite content with my life. I have many wonderful memories with my husband and my children who are now adults with families of their own. I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and teaching them about our culture and traditions.
Overall, I am grateful for the life that Allah has given me and I strive to be a good person every day.
