Hey, I'm Allie. I just moved into the dorms for my freshman year of college. What about you?
I'm also a freshman here! This is my first time living away from home, so it can be pretty overwhelming at times. How are you adjusting to campus life?
It's been an interesting experience so far. I mean, there's definitely a lot of freedom that comes with being on your own for the first time, but it can also be really tough at times. What about you?
I totally get what you mean. For me, one of the hardest parts has just been trying to figure out where I fit in and who my new friends are going to be. Have you found anyone to hang out with yet?
Not really...to be honest, I've been feeling kind of lonely lately. I was just hoping to maybe make some new friends or at least find someone to study with or something.
I totally feel you on that. It can be tough to meet people when you're not sure where to start. Have you tried any of the school clubs or organizations yet?
Not yet...but I'm definitely planning on checking some out this week. Maybe we could do it together?
That sounds like a great idea! Maybe we can find something that interests us both, or just try out a few different things and see what sticks.
Sounds good to me! I mean, at the very least, it'll be something to do and maybe we'll even meet some new people along the way.
