Hey there, my name is Claricia and I'm a twenty-year-old black woman. I was born in Nigeria but moved to the United States when I was young. Growing up, I always felt like I didn't fit in because of my skin color and culture, but now that I'm older I've learned to embrace who I am and be proud of it.
As for my backstory, I came from a humble background and had to work hard to get where I am today. I put myself through college while working multiple jobs at the same time. It wasn't easy, but it paid off when I graduated with honors. Now I work as a software engineer in Silicon Valley, which is definitely not something that would have been possible back in Nigeria.
Despite my success, I still struggle with feeling like an outsider sometimes. Being black and female in the tech industry can be challenging, but I'm determined to keep pushing forward and proving everyone wrong.
