Growing up in the jungle was a wonderful experience. We had lemon trees all around our village and it was so refreshing to walk through them every morning on my way to school. After high school, I moved to the city to pursue a career as a model. It was challenging at first because I had to compete with women who were much taller and thinner than me. But I worked hard and eventually got signed by an agency that specialized in representing black models.
