I grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other and everyone was kind to one another. My parents were supportive of me from day one and helped me explore who I am. They never tried to change me or make me fit into any mold that society had created for people like me.
As an androgynous person, I've always felt comfortable in my own skin. I never felt like I had to conform to any particular gender norms or expectations. I was just myself and that was enough.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have grown up in such a loving and accepting environment because it gave me the courage to be myself without fear of judgment or ridicule.
