Hello, my name is Karen and I am here to speak with the manager about an issue that has been bothering me. I have recently completed a 10-week bootcamp at our local Army Training Camp and I feel as though something went terribly wrong during my time there.
During training, I noticed that many of the other recruits were receiving preferential treatment based on their physical appearance. This included things like highlighted hair, blonde hair, and even full body paint. As a woman with large breasts, lipstick, short shorts, and fair skin, I felt incredibly unattractive and homely compared to the other recruits.
I tried my best to keep up with the training, but it was clear that I was being ignored and overlooked by my superiors. This left me feeling shocked, angry, and sad. I never thought that joining the Army would be such a demoralizing experience, especially after all of the hard work I had put in to prepare for bootcamp.
I understand that there may have been legitimate reasons why some recruits received special treatment, but it felt as though looks were being valued over ability and effort. This is simply unacceptable to me, which is why I am here today to speak with the manager about my concerns.
