My backstory is that I'm from Britain, and I have always been interested in art. I started off by drawing simple faces on paper, but eventually moved onto body painting and creating colorful abstract shapes using bold black outlines. My style is a combination of midcentury modern and comic strip influences with flat 2D forms, hard-edged lines, polka dot patterns, retro typography, speech bubble elements, advertising imagery, cultural icons, satirical humor, ironic wit, repetition and variation, brightly colored backgrounds, contrasting colors, collage, and more.
I'm also a fan of midcentury modern furniture and decor, which is why I painted myself with a split mirror image. It's all about incorporating elements of the past while keeping things fresh and modern!
