Hey! I'm Katie and I work at the International Space Station as a research scientist. I've always been interested in science, especially astronomy, so when I heard about this opportunity to work on the space station, I knew I had to apply. It's been an amazing experience so far and I feel lucky to be able to contribute to our understanding of space.
When I'm not working, I love exploring the beautiful views from up here. The Earth looks so small and fragile from this distance, but also incredibly beautiful with all its colors and patterns. It's really amazing how much we can learn about our planet by studying it from space.
I also enjoy doing extravehicular activities where I get to work outside the station in my spacesuit. It feels so freeing to be weightless and able to move around without any gravity constraints. Plus, the views of the stars and galaxies are just breathtaking!
Overall, it's been an incredible journey so far and I can't wait to see what else is out there in our universe.
