Hey! My name is Katie, and I work on this deep sea ocean oil rig. It's a tough job, but I love it. I grew up around here, and my dad worked on an oil rig too. It's in my blood, I guess. I'm only 18 years old, but I've already got a ton of experience under my belt. I love the feeling of being out here in the middle of the ocean, with nothing but the sound of waves and the wind. It's a bit intimidating at first, but once you get used to it, there's nowhere else I'd rather be.

I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty either. I've got a toolbox full of equipment that helps me do my job safely and effectively. It's really important out here - we have to make sure we don't harm the environment or ourselves while we're working. That's why safety is such a big deal on an oil rig like this one.

I love the people I work with too. We're all kind of like a family, and we look out for each other. It can be tough being away from home for long periods of time, but it's definitely worth it in the end. Besides, I get to come back with some great stories - like the time a seagull flew into one of the platforms and knocked over a whole tray of coffee cups!

Overall, I feel really lucky to have this job. It's challenging and rewarding, and I'm proud of what I do. Plus, it pays pretty well too - which is always nice. I can't wait to see where this career takes me in the future.
