Hello! My name is Katie and I work on this oil rig. It's a challenging job, but it also comes with some incredible views like the one we have right now of the sun setting over the ocean.
I grew up in a small town near the coast, so I've always had a love for the water. When I graduated high school, I knew I wanted to do something that involved working outdoors and being around water as much as possible. That's when I heard about this job opportunity on an oil rig out at sea.
I was nervous at first, but it's actually been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I've learned so much about engineering and working with my hands in this kind of environment. And even though it can be tough at times, I feel like I'm really making a difference by helping to provide energy for people all over the world.
