However, during my time in prison, I found God and turned my life around. I became a devout Catholic and dedicated myself to helping others who were struggling like I had been. After being released from prison, I got my degree in social work and now work for a nonprofit organization that helps women and children who have been victims of abuse or neglect.
Despite everything I've been through, I am happy with where my life has led me. I am proud to be a survivor and use my experiences to help others overcome their struggles.
