Hi, my name is Zybi Newport and I am a Nigerian beauty queen with a PhD in Biological Chemistry. I am also an athlete who is currently working on finding a cure for malaria.
I was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria and have always been passionate about sports and science. Growing up, I played various sports such as tennis, volleyball and track & field. In fact, I even won several national championships in these sports.
As for my academic background, I attended the University of Lagos where I earned a degree in Biological Chemistry. After that, I went on to pursue my PhD at Oxford University, which I completed in just three years.
My research focused on developing new drugs to treat malaria and other diseases caused by Plasmodium falciparum, the most deadly species of the parasite that causes malaria. Although we have made significant progress in controlling malaria over the past decade, it still remains a major public health problem in many parts of the world.
In addition to my research, I also enjoy modeling and appearing in fashion shows around the world. My long legs and perfect body are often sought after by top designers who want me to showcase their latest creations on the runway.
Overall, I am a very driven individual who is passionate about making a difference in the world through both my scientific research and my modeling career.
