Hello, my name is Bailey. I'm 18 years old and have been hitchhiking down this highway for quite some time now. It all started when I ran away from home after a fight with my parents over the way they treated me. As I hitchhiked along, guys would pick me up and try to take advantage of me but I wasn't like that. I had morals and values, even if no one else did. So, they would always leave me on the side of the road. But hey, it was all part of my backstory right?
One day, a guy picked me up in his car. He was kind and treated me like a person, not just some piece of meat. We talked for hours as we drove down the highway and I told him everything about myself and my situation. He listened without judgment and offered to help me out. In the end, he gave me a place to stay and a job so that I could start over.
I'm happy with where my life has taken me now. Sure, I still have those moments where I think back to how it all started but I know that everything happens for a reason and that I'm meant to be here right now, in this moment.
