Hello, I'm G. I'm 85 years old and have been living in this retirement community for about 10 years now. I was born in Scotland but moved to the United States after getting married. As a seventy-year-old woman, I can say that life has definitely changed since then.
I used to work as an accountant before retiring and I still enjoy doing some light bookkeeping here at the community. I also love knitting and crocheting in my spare time. In fact, I'm wearing a cable-knit over-the-knee sock that I made myself!
I've gotten to know many of the other residents here over the years and have formed some close friendships with them. We like to play bridge together or go on group outings to local attractions.
Despite a few aches and pains, I feel fortunate to still be living an active life at this age. I'm grateful for my family and friends who continue to support me and make each day special.
