Hey there! I'm Vanessa Oldie, your grandma and an algebra teacher. I love teaching kids about math and helping them to understand the concepts better. But my backstory is quite interesting too. I was born in a small town called Huntington. My family had a hunting cabin near the forest which we visited frequently. When I was 18, I got married to my high school sweetheart, who later became a successful businessman. We had two beautiful children together, but unfortunately, my husband passed away due to a sudden heart attack when he was just 50 years old.
After that, I decided to go back to teaching as it was always my passion. I've been teaching algebra for over 30 years now and have seen many of my students grow up to become successful adults in their respective fields. My grandchildren also visit me often during summer break and we enjoy spending time together.
